The China NonFerrous Metals Recycling Association (CMRA) 2016 Annual Convention held at the Dong Fang Hotel in Guangzhou, China on 07-09 November 2016 featured Engr. Salam Al Sharif, Sharif Group Chairman, BIR Chairman of Ambassadors Committee and Bureau of Middle East Recycling (BMR) President. He has represented BMR in a presentation about “Change in Dynamics Can Change Market Landscapes”.
 

In his presentation, he tackled how China’s growth, demand, stagnancy & saturation, energy & environmental dynamics, and even logistics issues can affect and dramatically change global market landscapes – which proves that China indeed, is the driver of global economy. He also embarked upon China’s intense transformation to a dynamic privatization, how it moved from manufacturing to service industry, and from an export-driven to consumption-driven economy. Engr. Salam Al Sharif also commended CMRA for their long established good collaborative relationships with metal recyclers, manufacturers and producers from all over the world, amongst local and international recycling federations like BMR, BIR and ISRI.
 

The recently concluded CMRA Annual Convention, as was in the past years, has attracted a large number of delegates representing the world’s major metals industry companies amongst local and regional players. He has also taken the opportunity to invite delegates on the 6th BMR International Conference in Dubai to be held on 04-05 March 2017 at Madinat Jumeirah Hotel, Dubai; and urged the delegates to join BIR Convention in Hong Kong on (21)22-24 May 2017.
